Poor Callie! We can only imagine what she's gone through in her short life, but it looks like some of it must have been pretty traumatic. She was rescued from the side of Hwy 299E west of Burney, with a big wound that went all the way around her torso. She was thin and scared--but despite all that, Callie is a sweet, smart, people-pleasing pup. She was born around July of 2018, we think, so she's still just a youngster. It seems that she will be best suited for a home where she has another friendly dog as a companion, or is not left alone for long periods of time. Better yet, a setting where she gets to go along with her human on a regular basis would be great! Her past as an abandoned dog leaves her craving companionship. With consisten love and structure, Callie will grow to be an excellent canine family member.

Callie will be spayed and microchipped on February 20th and will be available a week after that.
