JACK is a 6 1/2 year old neutered shepherd/lab mix that loves people and gets along fine with female dogs and lower energy neutered male dogs, even small dogs (we was living with a couple of Chihuahua's and a Lab mix  before his owners surrendered him to the High Plateau Humane Society due to a move).   This boy is a real love bug, and enjoys pets, hugs and long walks, but would not be a good choice for a home with cats, chickens, pet rodents, or dominant male dogs. Jack can jump a 4' fence if he sees something that interests him, so he needs to have a yard with a 6 foot fence, and he needs to be allowed in the house to be with "his people" as he loves human company. Jack does not do well being left in an outdoor kennel by himself for extended periods of time, and he will bark in that situation. Jack would be best with a family who usually has someone at home as that is what he is used to.   He does not like to be crated, but does very well loose in the house (not destructive), and rides well loose in the car (does not get in the way, and lays quietly).  He also walks well on lead and is house trained.  Contact Jennifer, High Plateau Humane Society at 530-708-2377
