Hello, the folks at SNIPPP call me Clyde. I was found abandoned by the edge of a local alfalfa field in 2017. I was super skittish and shy, but one day I finally decided it would be OK to go for a ride with one of SNIPPP's volunteers. Now I have a foster home with nice humans, but I'm looking for a home of my own.

I'm still a young fellow, and I do act like a pup, looking for opportunities to play and have fun. I'm crate trained, and I know to go outside to go potty. I walk well on a leash, I ride calmly in a vehicle, and I seem to do well around other dogs. I am very protective of my human 'mom'.

I think it's my job to herd the horse.  I am gradually getting along better with the family cat, but SNIPPP does not know how I will do with other cats--a cat-free home might be the best idea for me. I am still shy, and unsure of new people.  I love to play with my toys, and I really love getting treats.  My foster mom gives me treats when I learn new things, to help me become a better doggy.  I have learned to "sit"... most of the time!  With a skilled positive reinforcement trainer, I can learn to be the best dog ever!

I'm neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention. I guess that means I'm ready to go--will you come to meet me?

Note: In many ways, Clyde is still very much a 'work in progress'. He does not react well to strangers much of the time. He is recommended for a home with people who have extensive dog training skills, or are willing to get professional dog training help.

Please email, call or text Kris at 530 941-6649 to find out about meeting Clyde.
