SNIPPP needs FOSTER HOMES in Northeastern California's Modoc, Lassen, and Shasta counties! Our ability to rescue companion animals like the one you're viewing right now depends on us having safe, loving foster homes for them to go to. Can you give an animal in need a second chance by opening your heart and home?
-----------------------------------------------------
I'm Pine a very shy boy who is learning that all humans, unlike the ones I knew in my past, are not scary! I am getting so that after just a few days around a new friendly person, I can start to relax and just act like a happy dog. I was rescued from a location where 20 dogs were all chained up, living outside with little or no protection from the weather. I was heartworm positive, but now I've gone through treatment and am doing fine healthwise. Are you the HERO who could continue to give me special attention? Healing my psychological scars would be such a wonderful, kind thing. I love playing in the yard with the friendly female dog at my foster home. I hope someone will think I deserve a better life than what I had for so many years at the end of the chain. Your love could make a world of difference to me!
Pine is in a loving foster home, but really needs a forever home--can you help him out? Call SNIPPP at 530 336-6006 or snippp@frontiernet.net SNIPPP is willing to arrange transportion for Pine to an approved home outside of our normal area; inquiries from southern California and adjoining states are welcomed.
Special Needs: Pine is a very shy dog. Unknown humans seem very scary to him, but he responds well to treats and kind voices. Once he gets to know you he is actually a goofy, sweet guy. He's also handsome and very intelligent.
SNIPPP prefers to have adoptive homes within the northern California counties of SHASTA, LASSEN, MODOC, SISKIYOU, TRINITY, TEHAMA, and HUMBOLDT to make it easier to do home checks and transport adopted animals to their new homes. Although we are willing to make exceptions, especially in cases of animals with special placement needs, the costs and arrangements for additional transportation outside this area may need to be handled by the adopting individual or family.
SNIPPP requires an adoption contract, a home check, veterinary references, and a $100 adoption fee. All SNIPPP animals are spayed or neutered (unless they are not yet old enough, in which case adopters will be required to provide proof of spay/neuter at the appropriate time and will be entitled to a $50 refund). They are all up-to-date on vaccinations, have received appropriate veterinary care, and are micro-chipped. If they are dogs at least 6 months old, they have been tested for heartworm and are on preventative.
Some of the animals on our website are COURTESY LISTINGS. Different adoption requirements may apply for these animals, and they may not have received the same level of veterinary care; please ASK the person offering the animal for adoption any questions you have regarding vaccinations or health status. SNIPPP makes no warranties as to the validity of statements made regarding the personal charateristics of animals listed on a courtesy basis. Adopters are advised to consult with a veterinarian or animal behavior professional to confirm health or temperament characteristics of any animal considered for adoption.
Completing an Adoption Application does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt from SNIPPP; our primary concern is with finding the most appropriate homes for the animals in our care. Many of them have gone through rough times, and need an especially understanding person to help them realize their full potential. To complete an application, you will need to register on our website.
Many of our adoptable pets are at Redding Petco, 1603 Hilltop Drive, from noon to 4 the fourth Saturday of the month. We look forward to seeing you there! If you have applied and are approved as an adopter, we can arrange for you to meet individual pets you may be interested in at other times, too. SNIPPP PO Box 223 MCARTHUR, CA 96056
