Hello, I'm Sophie, and my story up until now has been a real tear-jerker.  I belonged to a person who had lots of dogs; we were mostly chained up to our dog houses.  Things got really bad when he passed away and no one knew about it for a long time.  Most of the other poor dogs there died, but I was one of the 8 survivors.  Luckily, after quite awhile in a cage at the animal shelter, I ended up at a good foster home on a horse sanctuary.  The people here say that I am great as a ranch dog.  I do not chase the horses and I get to follow them around as they do chores. I am still very shy, but will warm up to people if they just give me a chance and take it slow.  I am good friends with Red, another dog who is listed as one of SNIPPP's available animals.  We'd love to be adopted together, if you are looking for a pair of canine friends.  Somewhere in the past, something happened to one of my eyes that makes it look a little cloudy, but I hope that people won't think less of me because of that!  Won't you help with the fairytale ending for my story--a permanent home where I am safe and loved and there's fun stuff to do outdoors?
